Voucher scheme for desexing your pet in Hong Kong

  • Sharing is caring

We know prevention is always better than treatment, but not everyone has all the means to do it, especially financially. To offer you some financial assistance, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), at the vanguard of animal welfare, has a voucher scheme for you to enrol and more if you want to spay or neuter your pets.

The voucher scheme is pretty much unconditional which we love about. You can enjoy up to $300 discount off for a desexing surgery at participating veterinary clinics and SPCA centres with just standard terms and conditions attached (e.g. limited quantity, use before expiry date). It’s a part of the Spay Neuter Assistance Programme (SNAP).

Application is simple:

You can fill in this online form, or download an application form and send it by mail to SPCA or fax to 2519 7985.

Participating clinics:

As SPCA aims to advocate desexing as a way to reduce thousands of unwanted animals every year due to accidental matings, it also offers further financial assistance to those who really cannot afford a desexing surgery, specifically to Hong Kong residents who are currently receiving Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA), and the unprivileged referred by a social worker. The amount of assistance varies case-by-case, while verification and discussion is a must in its eligibility process. For more information, please call SPCA at 2802 0501.

If your dog happens to be mongrel, he or she can even receive a desexing surgery for free! Learn more on SPCA official website.
