Pet Healthcare : How to deal with canine ageing with ease?

Dogs over 7 years old of age are considered to be entering their senior years. Joint pain, loss of flexibility and weakness pose challenges to their quality of life. Dr Jane McNae from Paws in Motion Veterinary Physiotherapy, a veterinary surgeon for 20 years and pet physical therapist, will talk about what you can do at home to help support your pets to live gracefully.

Dr David Quach, from Animal Emergency Centre, will give you a quick look at what heart disease is, the types of heart diseases, what to look out for and what it means for our pets once they have been diagnosed with heart disease. All registered participants will receive a bottled Nutravet-omega 3.

Dogs always explore the world around them by licking and chewing so when they put the wrong things in their mouth, they could end up with an upset stomach. As pet parents, we dread seeing our beloved pets feeling poorly and dread cleaning up the mess! Dr Anita Young will share foods and dangerous items we should prevent our pets from eating, how to choose a healthy diet to reduce digestive problems, symptoms of upset stomach and how digestive issues may be diagnosed and treated. PetbleCare Advisory Team will educate us on possible expenses of treatment, how to avoid and manage risks without breaking the bank. All registered participants will receive a pet cooling pad and sample sized healthy Brabanconne dog food from Belgium.

Fun & Safety: How can children play with dogs safely and joyfully?

Families are welcome. Kids usually get excited when playing with dogs, possibly sending the wrong signals and resulting in irritating the dogs. In this fun workshop for children under 10 years old, Positive Partners from Hong Kong Dog Rescue would guide you and your kids on how to safely and happily interact with dogs. A maximum of 12 families can be taken in (1 ticket = 1 child. Children can come with as many adults as your want).

Dog yoga workshop

Looking for some fun time with your beloved pups? Join us for an 40-minute outdoor yoga class taught by Beatrice A and her 4-year-old pup, Richie! Stretch and bond with your dogs while taking in the beautiful scenery on lawn. No yoga experience required. All dogs of any size are welcome, just that large-sized dogs are not expected to perform some poses such as being lifted up.

2. Participants are required to bring their own yoga mats, towels and water bottles. Please wear comfortable clothing appropriate for movement and arrive 5 minutes before the starting time for confirming your sign-up.
3. No age limit. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
4. Participants must ensure they are medically and physically fit to participate in the workshop.
5. Walk-in registration might be accepted on the event days subject to availability. Online registration is highly recommended to secure your spots.

All dogs can benefit from relaxing massages to loosen up their muscle. Both veterinary surgeons are highly experienced and will avoid pain points of your pet if any. The maximum of participants are 48 dogs on a first-come-first served basis, and online registration is required.
